The Ogrant Inc. privacy policy demonstrates that we are committed to the security and integrity of your personal information. It is important to us that you understand and feel comfortable with our terms and conditions surrounding the collection and use of that information. We take every reasonable measure necessary to protect the privacy of our users while providing the most exceptional service expected. Ogrant does not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with the consent of the individual or as required by law.
Registration:
Users are required to complete an online registration form in order to use the free Ogrant service. Personal information collected by Ogrant is information about an identifiable individual that may include such information as your name, e-mail address, birth date, sex, and school. This information is primarily collected by Ogrant: 1) to establish responsible relations with you and provide you with ongoing, quality service; 2) to understand your needs and preferences; 3) to recommend grant offerings in which you are eligible for; 4) to administer and manage its business operations ; 5) to meet legal and regulatory requirements. You may keep your registration information current by visiting the account area of the site. If you wish to change or update any of your personal information and are unable to do so, please contact us at privacy@ogrant.com.
Usage Monitoring:
Ogrant Inc. tracks information related to overall user traffic patterns throughout our site in order to make business decisions regarding our services.
Update E-mail Notifications:
When a new Ogrant is added to our database, an e-mail may be sent advising the user to return to the www.ogrant.com website to view the necessary information to apply for and get involved in the award decision making process. Expanding further, in cases where a user is awarded an Ogrant, or when the Community Support Phase begins for a particular Ogrant offered, an e-mail may be sent advising the user to return to the www.ogrant.com to get further involved. These e-mail messages may also contain messaged provided by our sponsors. If you decide that you do not want these updates, go to your user profile section and uncheck this particular notification.
Sponsored E-mail Notifications:
Ogrant Inc. also provides opportunities for our sponsors to send e-mail messages to users who opt-in during the registration process. These messages will be sent by Ogrant Inc. on behalf of one or more of our sponsors and will contain information that is thought to be relevant and useful to our user demographic. No personally identifiable information is released by Ogrant Inc. to our sponsors. Rather, Ogrant Inc. may provide potential and existing sponsors with aggregate demographical information of our user community. In addition, e-mail messages may invite users to take part in promotions and surveys created by our sponsors. This will allow us to keep the Ogrant service free of charge. Users may opt-out of this service at anytime by visiting their My Account page in their user profile section.
Ogrant Applications:
In order to apply for Ogrants on our site users must complete applications for the Ogrants. Applications for Ogrants are used in the manner described in our Terms of Use and in the Official Rules for each Ogrant. Applications may request personal information from users, may be displayed on our site, and may be provided to our sponsors. In addition, if a user wishes to apply for an Ogrant, the personal information they provide to us for registration on the site may be provided by us to the sponsor for purposes of completing the user’s application for the Ogrant. As described in our Terms of Use under the heading "Advertisements and Promotions", by participating in any Ogrant and/or accepting any Ogrant award, users grant permission to Ogrant and its affiliates or subsidiaries and their sponsors, and any of their respective successors, assigns or licensees, permission to use certain information about the user for certain promotional purposes. Use by sponsors of this information is subject to sponsor privacy policies. Ogrant is not responsible for sponsor use of this information.
Cookies:
The Ogrant Inc. service does not currently use cookies, but may use cookies in the future. Cookies are very small text files stored on your computer by your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator etc). Cookies add a convenience feature to help the user save time. They would primarily be used to help personalize the users' experience on the site. Their purpose is to help us monitor how our website is used and the information provided helps us to create a more user friendly website - one that helps you find the information you need more quickly.
Privacy of Individuals Under the Age of Majority:
We do believe that this website also appeals to individuals under the age of majority in their jurisdiction and we allow individuals to create accounts only if they indicate during registration that if under the age of majority a parent or legal guardian has given consent on their behalf to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use during registration. If you are under the age of majority in your Province and your parent or legal guardian has not consented on your behalf during registration to your use of this Site, you may not use this site. Ogrant urges all parents to supervise their children’s exploration of the Internet and any online services and to teach their children about protecting their personal information online. The age of majority in the provinces of Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Prince Edward Island is 18 years of age, and the age of majority in the provinces of British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut is 19 years of age.
Safeguards:
Ogrant Inc. takes technical, contractual, administrative and physical security measures to protect your personal information. While no computer system can ever be fully protected against every possible hazard, we provide reasonable and appropriate security controls to protect our Web site and its information. Please be aware that email is not a secure medium and any personal information you send to us by email could be intercepted. Materials posted to online forums, feedback, bulletin boards or chat rooms are public, not secure and may be viewed by anyone. Any personal information you post may be collected and used by anyone and may result in unsolicited messages from other internet users. Please be aware that this website may contain links to other websites provided and maintained exclusively by third parties not subject to this Privacy Policy. Changes to Policy:

Password:
In order to login to www.ogrant.com and access your user profile section, you are required to have a combination of password and username. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. Do not share it. These unique identifiers are used to protect your personal information and ensure the security of your profile section. It is important that you remember your login information. If at anytime you a user would like to change their password, they can do so by visiting their My Account page.
Account Deactivation:
Users may delete their user profile at anytime by sending an e-mail with the subject line “Deactivate Account” to privacy@ogrant.com. Please note that if you request your account to be deactivated, all personal information, uploaded content, feedback provided, and any previous interaction with the site will be deleted and/or disabled.
Handling Complaints and Questions:
Individuals may challenge Ogrant Inc's. compliance with this policy. Complaints and inquiries should be directed to our Privacy Officer at the address listed below. The Privacy Officer will investigate all complaints and endeavor to resolve all complaints. Individuals who are not satisfied with the resolution of their complaint may contact the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
